Field Inspection · Vellore is a private government application used by authorised officers of the District Administration of Vellore, Government of Tamil Nadu, to carry out inspections of government facilities across the district. It is built and maintained by Farmwise AI Private Limited.
The App has no public sign-up. Accounts are created for serving officers by an authorised administrator. Installing the App does not create an account, and you cannot register one yourself. This page explains how an officer who holds an account can ask for it to be closed, and exactly what that does.
Send an email to hr@farmwiseai.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request — Field Inspection Vellore".
Send it from your registered email address if you have one, or quote your registered mobile number so we can identify your account. Include:
You may instead ask the administrator who created your account, or your reporting officer, to raise the request on your behalf. You may also telephone +91 73583 28401 during office hours.
To protect against fraudulent requests, we confirm that the request genuinely comes from the account holder before we act on it. We may:
We will not close an account we cannot confirm you own.
Please read this section carefully, because it is the part officers most often misunderstand.
| Item | What happens on account closure |
|---|---|
| Your ability to sign in | Permanently revoked. The account is deactivated and cannot be used again |
| Active sessions on your devices | Ended immediately on the next request each device makes |
| Site and department allocations | Released so that another officer can be assigned |
| Data held on your phone | Removed when you uninstall the App — see section 7 |
| Your account record — name, mobile number, email address, role | Retained. It is the key that makes the audit record meaningful, and is preserved alongside it |
| Surveys and questionnaire responses you submitted | Retained as an official government record, with your name attached |
| Photographs and documents you uploaded | Retained as evidence forming part of the inspection record |
| Issues you raised, remarks you posted, actions you took | Retained as part of the issue history and audit trail |
| Sign-in history and device information | Retained as part of the security audit trail |
Every survey, photograph, issue and remark submitted through this App is an official record of a government inspection. It records that a named officer attended a named facility on a given date and recorded a given finding. Those records are relied upon by the District Administration, by departmental Heads, and potentially by auditors and courts.
Removing an officer's name from an inspection record, or deleting the record, would destroy the accountability the record exists to provide. Records are therefore retained for at least 7 years from the date of creation, in line with government audit and record-keeping requirements, and thereafter for as long as the District Administration requires.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the right to erasure does not apply where personal data is retained in order to comply with a legal obligation or is required to be preserved by law. Retention of these records falls within that exemption. Your other rights — to know what we hold, to have inaccurate details corrected, and to raise a grievance — are unaffected and remain available to you after your account is closed.
The App stores some information locally so it can work without a network connection:
Uninstalling the App deletes all of this from your phone. If you have surveys that you have completed but not yet submitted, submit them before uninstalling — once removed they cannot be recovered.
Uninstalling does not close your account. To close the account, follow section 2.
If you believe a particular record should be erased or corrected — for example a photograph that inadvertently captured a member of the public, an identity document, or personal information that should never have been entered — tell us and we will act on it. This is separate from account closure and does not require you to close your account.
Email hr@farmwiseai.com with the subject "Record Correction Request — Field Inspection Vellore", describing the record as precisely as you can. Requests of this kind are reviewed individually with the District Administration, and we will tell you the outcome within 30 days.
